Extreme Makeover--Me Edition

Welcome to the weekly improvement update on ME. Make sure to visit Amber to find more stories about what others are doing to makeover their life!

Here is how my week went....

I went on a beautiful vacation with my hubby to the Bahamas, I gained a mere 2 lbs. This feels like a victory considering I ate a 4 course meal every night and drank many drinks with umbrellas in them.

To get on track I plan on going to the Cardio Room at our Community Center with a couple of friends first thing in the morning. My intention is to do this on a daily basis, getting myself into a good groove before the kids are home for the summer.

The biggest way that I am doing something for myself is accepting who I am. I am in the process of going through my closet and ridding myself of all those things I am hanging onto for when I can get down to that "size". I know, if I am keeping it real that those clothes are no longer my friend and they are holding me back. They haven't seen daylight since the 90's and they need to move on and so do I!!! I have been trying to build a more updated wardrobe with clothes that fit the body I live in now, in an effort to feel presentable.

I am ready for what ever is next!!

  4. I say that's good! I've been on a couple cruises, and honey, I GET IT!! It seems like all you ever do on a cruise is eat. And the food is to die for.

I think that's a great idea to rid yourself of 'those' clothes. I've been needing to do the same thing. Some of my skinny clothes are like daisy dukes. And I'm not joking! I told my husband the other day, "even if I got super skinny again, there's NO WAY I'm wearing those things now!" So, out they go.

    Make way for the new!

    You're doing awesome girl. :)

I got rid of my old clothes awhile back. Except 1 pair of jeans! I don't know why I still have them.

  6. Hey there! Way to go, and what a wonderful vacation!!!

I saved one pair of capris. The ones I wore on my hubby and I's blind date six years ago. Everything else is gone!

We are amazing! And I am so glad we have this support group!

Have a great rest of your day!

  9. I had the daisy duke experience too. A few summers ago I finally fit into a pair of "skinny" shorts that I had been holding onto since my mid-twenties. They were so short! I looked ridiculous in them at 30 years old!
